Hi!
I'm Robyn
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria in 2007, where I joined the Centre for Sexualities, AIDS and Gender (CSA&G), an NGO on the University's main campus, as a lay HIV counsellor. While doing my Honours, I secured an internship at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital, where I worked with children and teenagers.
In 2010 I was given the opportunity to join the CSA&G as a full-time staff member, where I ran the HIV counselling and testing programme. My duties were to recruit, train and supervise volunteer lay counsellors.
In 2011, I completed my B. Honours degree, specialising in Psychology through UNISA.
I worked at the CSA&G as the Counselling and Training Manager until December 2017.
I completed the Helios STREPCO Approach to Therapy course and registered with the Counsel for Counsellors of South Africa (CCSA).
I am now proud to have opened my own practice, BeBalanced Counselling, launched in 2018.
